ROBBIE Williams wants his baby daughter to be born in Stoke.

The 38-year-old singer may be one of the world’s richest stars, living in Beverly Hills luxury, but he remains proud of his Potteries roots.

He is a lifelong fan of local football club Port Vale.

He is even its majority shareholder and has a restaurant at the Vale Park ground named in his honour.

He first tasted fame when he trod the boards as a young performer in Stoke.

And he has pledged cash to help support Mill Hill Primary and St Margaret Ward RC schools, where he was educated.

Now the Take That star and his US TV actress wife Ayda Field, 32, are expecting their first child, a girl, in September.

And loyal Robbie has told pals he wants the tot to be called Roberta and be born in his home city.

A source, involved in a documentary about him, said: “He has a huge loyalty to Stoke and is so proud of the place.

“He’d love nothing more than to have his daughter born there. And you can bet your life she will be a Port Vale fan.”

The singer is very close to his parents Peter and Janet, who are divorced but still live in the area.

They used to run the Red Lion pub in Burslem, home to Port Vale, one of six towns amalgamated to form Stoke-on-Trent.

Later, his dad became licensee of Port Vale FC’s social club.

In 2006, Robbie bought £240,000 of shares in Port Vale, making him its majority shareholder.

He is also patron of Stoke-based charity the Donna Louise Trust which cares for sick children.

He often tells how much he misses the city and returns there whenever he’s feeling down.

The source added: “He still has many friends there. It would be an incredible coup for the city if the couple can make it happen.’’

Robbie Williams has confirmed he is expecting a baby daughter with wife Ayda Field.

And he’s gonna make sure she learns karate and boxing to keep bad boys (like Rob) away.

The 38-year-old Angels singer said: “It’s a girl. I’m very, very excited about becoming a daddy. I can’t wait. The missus is, like, ‘Don’t go telling’ and I said ‘I won’t’.”

Chatting alongside pal Jonathan Wilkes at a Soccer Six event, he continues: “I’m going to teach her football and karate and boxing.

“That’s the first thing she’s going to learn to keep people like me and Johnny away.”

I don’t think even a self-defence expert would have deterred Rob in his heyday.

Proud dad-to-be Robbie added: “My life is amazing right now. It’s fantastic, you know.”

While Ayda, 33, is expecting the couple’s first born, both Gary Barlow and Mark Owen are expecting new nippers soon, too.

Gary, meanwhile, has been supporting projects around the Diamond Jubilee next month along with a range of other charity work.

Robbie said: “Gary Barlow’s sailing straight to a knighthood. You can just tell, can’t you?

“Well, at some point people have got to look at this and see what I’ve done and say, oh yeah.

“He’s gonna get it. It’ll be Sir Gaz before Sir Robbie. Subconsciously it’s a bit of a competition.”

And he spoke about how his work with Soccer Aid to support Unicef had changed his own perceptions when it comes to youngsters.

“It’s the vulnerability of the kids, really,” he says.

“It makes you feel very lucky to have the life we do. Becoming a dad-to-be has changed my perception.

“I didn’t realise it was going to until it did. It’s overwhelming.

“We watched a video about what Unicef does and I felt myself tearing up, in a way I wouldn’t have done in the past.

“It definitely pulls on the heart-strings even greater now that I know I’ve got this responsibility.”

Sunday’s match at Manchester United’s Old Trafford will also star JLS, Olly Murs and Gordon Ramsay.

Playing for England will be: John Bishop, Marvin Humes, Jason Isaacs, Paddy McGuinness, Aston Merrygold, Olly Murs, Mark Owen, Ben Shephard, Jamie Theakston and Jonathan Wilkes with Robbie Williams as Captain.

Изменение информации до 9 раз на дню забивает голову абсолютно ненужной информацией. Но она, к сожалению, кажду ю из них ловит и еще обрабатывает.
Вместо этого лучше было бы пойти погулять
